Conference of the African Ministers for Public Service (CAMPS) held in Burundi

The 7th Conference of the African Ministers for Public Service took place in Bujumbura from 20th to 24th February, 2012. The Conference was hosted by the government of Burundi with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the African Union Commission (AUC). Participants included the twelve (12) Member States namely Algeria, Burundi, Egypt, Kenya, Liberia, Namibia, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia. The Special Bureau of the conference took place from 23rd to 24th February, 2012. Present in the meeting were H.E. Marco Hausiku, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia and H.E. Dolly Joiner-Commissioner for Political Affairs of the AUC. Their meeting was officially opened by H.E. Terence SINUNGURUZA, Burundi’s 1st Deputy President and Chaired by Honorable Dalmas Otieno, Minister for Public Service and the then Chairperson of the CAMPS.
